Sugar Free Nutella Recipe

Hi everyone,

My obsession with nut butters continues..I think I might start a sugar free nut butter interesting concoction business one day, but until then, I guess I can share my recipes so that you too can all enjoy them at home yourselves!

Todays concoction was a healthy makeover for one of the popular favourites, nutella.

Sugar Free Nutella by Kara Landau

The ingredients for my sugar free nutella were as follows:

  • 1 1/4 cups dry roasted almonds
  • 3/4 cup ground hazelnuts
  • 1/4 cup crio bru cocoa (could switch for your preferred cacao or cocoa source – modify this amount based on how deep a chocolate flavour you desire)
  • 1 tbsp room temperature softened coconut butter
  • 1 1/4 tbsp natvia (stevia and erythritol sugar replacement – again, modify this to reflect your sweetness preference)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • pinch sea salt

Method:  Place the dry roasted almonds in the food processor and mix on high for a minute or two, and then add the coconut butter to help create a smoother consistency. Add the ground hazel nuts and the cocoa and continue to process for another couple of minutes on high. Add the natvia, vanilla essence and pinch of salt, allow mix to continue mixing for another minute. – You may have to scrape down the sides of the food processor a couple of times throughout to make sure everything mixes fully. For a thicker consistency you can add some more almonds at the beginning if you like! This came out quite smooth and very easy to spread! So there you have it, my sugar free nutella recipe that is super easy to make, and tastes delicious!
