Hey everyone,

As many of you over on my instagram account know, I am a keen healthy recipe developer using all the unique and super nutrient dense products that are now available to us.

There is a general trend in all my recipes, with me aiming to create super quick to prepare options that offer the following nutritional benefits:

  • Probiotic and prebiotic fibre enhanced
  • Fibre rich
  • Protein rich
  • Sugar free or no added sugar
  • Healthy fat rich
  • Omega-3 containing
  • Low glycemic index and ideally low glycemic load
  • Antioxidant rich

Here is just one example of a recipe I created that fits within the above guidelines:

Base Chocolate Ingredients:

Mix-ins:

Method:

  1. Mix all base chocolate ingredients until smooth
  2. Add in most of mix ins (leave a few of each for decoration after pouring into moulds.
  3. Pour mixture into moulds of choice
  4. Top with remaining mix-ins
  5. Place in freezer for at least one hour
  6. Enjoy!

– Can be stored in the fridge or freezer for future consumption.

As you can see, it is super simple to make nutrient enhanced versions of pretty much anything when you have great ingredients to work with!
