Hi everyone,

I realised it has been a few months since my last personal update, so here we are today with the goal of bringing you all up to speed on this crazy adventure I have come to know as my life.

What can I say except for I feel as though irrespective of being based in NYC or in Sydney, my life still moves at a million miles per hour!

Sydney!

Upon returning home I set out on a mission to connect with both health and wellness companies that I believed in, as well as media outlets that I thought would be great facilitators in helping me connect with Australian audiences that would value from the messages I have to share.

Sourcing amazing products to be involved with from across the globe.

With a positive attitude, a lot of grit, and way too much hustle, I managed to sign on 10 companies to help support the production of 80 videos which slowly but surely began being seeped out through the media.

Feeling there is still a lot more that can and will be done, I realise I am probably my own toughest critic; I acknowledge that it is important to sometimes take a step back and celebrate your mini achievements as you move forward in kicking your ultimate goals; yet there is definitely an internal struggle within myself between humbly being proud of what I have done versus feeling like there is still so much more to go.

Another goal of mine since returning was to connect and work with unique and innovative companies to help them gain exposure.

With so many smaller healthy food companies that have incredible products, but are yet to gain the attention they deserve, I excitedly created a role for myself (through nothing other than shear persistence, give I reached out to this company four years ago to no avail), with Australias number one Kefir company, Babushka Kefir.

When I reached out to them this time, was finally able to set up a face to face meeting, and won them over with my genuine passion for their product range, it proved to me that for every 1000 no’s you get, you just might get one yes, and that yes is the only ammunition you need to confirm that your ideas of what is possible are not so crazy after all.

My time in Sydney has proven to me that the age old saying of “your greatest strengths can be your truest weakness” (and vice-versa), can be so true.

Moving at a fast pace means you can feel as though you get hit by a truck with little notice or time to prepare a safe landing, however it also means you can pick yourself up, remove the dust from your shoulders, and push forward remarkably quickly.

I’ve noticed very clearly since returning home that my passion to life, devotion to those closest to me, and dedication to turning ideas into reality is both exciting, and equally confronting to some.

This has proven no truer than when it comes to matters of the heart.

Possibly too much passion for some…but I really do love my broccoli and avocado ;)

I have seen time and time again that my clarity of thought, self awareness, generosity of spirit, and deep level of self belief which works in my favour in a professional manner, as well as when starting in a new city in making relationships with new friends and colleagues, simultaneously is very confronting to the men that have come and gone from my life to this date.

Always has my back this little one.

Always has my back this little one.

As deeply hurtful as it has been for me to continually have men bow out with little to no notice after appearing so happy joining me in my world, I have continued to be shown that all I can do to ensure I personally stay mentally sane, is believe in myself, attract like minded souls to join me on this adventure, and let those who don’t want to approach the world with the same vigour continue on their paths separately.

I can see the incredible calibre of people who continue to stick by my side, and that I now have the strongest support network in literally all corners of the globe, irrespective of not being lucky enough to have joined forces with a partner in crime.

I find it slightly comic that I wrote a book four years ago about how to use a nutritious diet after a break up, and that I now indeed have the implementation of this down packed!

The latest instalment pretty much could be summed up as “boxing, kefir and friends!” (I’m telling you, the collaborative effect works a charm?!).

Finished boxing and feeling strong in the body and the mind, calm and invigorated.

The little optimist in me somehow amusingly remains open irrespective of the book long tales of ridiculousness that have come my way when it comes to matters of the heart.

I love that my willingness to share my pains with those closest to me has now enabled my parents, sister, closest friends and even mentor to be let into another layer of my life, and feel connected to me on a deeper level. I also feel that posts like this enable you all to connect with me on another level, and I think that is a very special thing.

What can I say, I truly believe that in all aspects of life we only are able to truly experience the depth of highs that are possible if we agree to push through the lows and harder parts.

My reality has shown me that once you have experienced the highs, it is not really possible to go back to sitting on the surface level.

Some people have told me life may be easier if I didn’t “feel as much” – but honestly, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t…so fortunately or unfortunately, the passion is here to stay 😉

After a great weekend down in Melbourne, back in my element filming for a new client and presenting to live audiences at the Natural and Organic Supershow, I feel as though I received the timely reminder of all the great things that can be achieved when you put your heart and soul into something.

I am back to living up to my Travelling Dietitian name and will be off to Israel next week to celebrate my one and only sisters wedding day.. and honestly, a tear of joy literally comes to my eye just thinking about it.

To think that my best friend has her special someone that will have her back no matter what, appreciates her for her, and makes her feel cherished every single day is truly a beautiful and precious thing that I wish for everyone to experience in life.

I look forward to seeing what the next few months will bring…I can’t imagine it being anything less than an excitement filled, impossible to even imagine, roller coaster of a ride.

I hope you all are living each day with as much passion as you need to feel alive,

Until my next instalment,

TD x
