Hey everyone!

So I have decided to start something I think is a little fun! I am hoping those of you who share a love for being connected around the different social media channels, a passion to source healthy new products, and also want to be a part of a group of like minded individuals from around the globe, will take part in this with me!

Over the last couple of years I have certainly come across some amazing products around the globe, many of which we all, irrespective of where we are living, could have access to, due to the power of ordering online, or exporting (who knows, maybe through the power of numbers, if enough people from a country know about, and want the healthy product to be imported, or recreated in their home town, these things will actually happen!).

As time has gone on, I seem to have been provided with a nickname (through no effort of my own may I add) of TD – supposably Travelling Dietitian and Kara Landau are too long, so being Australian, where everyones names seem to get shortened for some reason, TD appears to be the go, and has stuck! With this in mind;

I have decided to share a post each Tuesday showcasing a product I have come across from around the globe, that I think is nutritious for one reason or another, so that you can all start to realise how many amazing products that are actually healthy, we have at our disposal to either have delicious easy snacks with, or concoct healthy amazing dishes with.

I will now share my post of the week here on my blog, and when shared among social media sites it will be hashtagged with #TDapproved so that it can be easily found (at present I will be on twitter, facebook, instagram and pintrest).

There are multiple ways you can take part in this on a Tuesday:

1. If you have a product you think is healthy but want confirmation, simply hash tag – #TDfriend and #TDconfirmation on the photo of your product of the week, and I will respond accordingly. If I think it should be approved, I will add it to my list of #TDapproved products, and let everyone know that you provided me with the suggestion!

2. If you have a product you outrightly know wouldn’t be approved, but you think is slightly entertaining, feel free to share it with us all through using the hash tags #TDfriend and #notTDapproved (based on my previous experience, I think some people will be sharing bacon based posts here!?)

3. If you have been really creative and put together a recipe using a great product, take a photo of your concoction and share it with us all by using the hashtag #TDfriend #TDrecipe and then # the name of the product you have used. As with the healthy products, I will select recipes to feature (with full credits back to you) from those that are tagged!

Anyone else think this is going to be fun (or is it just my nerdy healthy product sourcing personality shining on its own?!)?

Do you all get the part I need you to play with me here?!

I can’t wait to get this started..and I will be sure to post again today to get us on our way!

Look forward to seeing what you all come up with each week from around the world (and just remember, just because something seems stock standard in your daily intake, does not mean that everyone around the globe knows about it, and wouldn’t find it fascinating and potentially life changing to have as a new inclusion in their diet!).

For now,
